Advanced FASD Caregiver Training
This is a 3-day (18 hour) program for foster parents who are caring for a child with a neurobehavioural condition. The fundamental goal of this program is to teach foster parents to provide care that meets the needs of foster children and youth with a FASD. When children and youth experience this type of care then they concurrently experience greater stability and continuity at home, in their primary relationships, at school, and with peers and family members. This, in turn, leads to improved outcomes for children and youth both in and when leaving care.
