Now in its sixth year, BCCYICW celebrates and acknowledges the resiliency, diversity, talents and accomplishments of young people in and from government care and their challenging journey. BCCYICW is a joint partnership between the Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks, Adoptive Families Association, Vancouver Foundation, the Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents, the BC Federation of Foster Parent Associations, the Public Guardian and Trustee, the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres and Metis Nation BC.

The BC Child and Youth in Care Awards recognize the amazing achievements of children and youth in and from care from across the province.
Many of our MCFD and DAA staff have special relationships with children and youth in care – or formerly in care — and their families and care providers. If you know an amazing young person between the ages of 6 and 24 you’d like to nominate, please send in your nomination by April 15, 2016.
