Neurobiology and the Family Disease of Addiction

Parental substance abuse is one of the major reasons children become involved in the foster care system. U.S. studies have shown that at least one out of every three child maltreatment cases involves substance abuse. Lorne Hildebrand will present on the Neurobiology of Addiction, and Lorelie Rozzano will speak about addiction from a family disease perspective and the effect on children.
